An estimated 300 audiologists attended the Academy of Doctors of Audiology’s (ADA) 2016 AuDacity convention held November 10-12 at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, Calif. The theme of AuDacity 2016 was “Dare to Succeed,” yet the operative keywords throughout this year’s event were disruption and change.
In a special session held on Saturday, November 12, 2016, CareCredit’s Randy Baldwin moderated a panel discussion that explored the customer journey and provided tips on how hearing care practitioners can attract consumers, engage patients, and create advocates of the practice.
This session gave AuDacity attendees many practical tips for succeeding in the hearing care industry, and particularly in a hearing care practice. Insights were provided by long-time industry experts Tina Soika, Michele Ahlman, and Kevin St Clergy. Some of their insights have previously been shared with the hearing care community via a series of webinars, provided courtesy of CareCredit.
Baldwin provided statistics that were gathered via a study commissioned by CareCredit, which examined patient and consumer behavior around seeking hearing healthcare and purchasing hearing aids. Specific data from that study can be found in the full report, titled “Aligning Pricing and Services with the Patient Path to Purchase.”
